Health Checks

Consultations are available to patients aged 75 years and over, or patients who have not been seen in the past 3 years.  Please make an appointment to see our Practice Nurse, who will carry out a general health check.

Family Planning

All our doctors and nurses can provide advice on contraception.  Please book an appointment at any general surgery.

Immunisations and Vaccinations

Childhood immunisations are given at our Baby Clinic on alternate Thursdays from 1.30 pm.  Appointments are sent out routinely by Child Health but you can also “drop in”.  Remember babies that are ill will not be seen.  Adult immunisations are given by the nurses, book into one of their general clinics. When booking travel vaccinations you will be asked to complete a form so we have all information to hand.

Every year a programme of influenza vaccinations is carried out, usually in the Autumn, and we strongly suggest patients over 65 or with a history of chronic disease should take advantage of this vaccination.  The same group of patients should also ask about pneumococcal vaccination.  Patients aged 70 may also be entitled to receive a shingles vaccination.
